This 7 Layer Dip is a crowd-pleasing party favorite that combines layers of delicious flavors for the perfect snack or appetizer. With creamy refried beans, zesty salsa, guacamole, seasoned sour cream, and plenty of toppings, it’s sure to be a hit at any gathering.

Sour Cream Layer:

  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet taco seasoning, 3 tablespoons

Toppings:

  • 1 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 roma tomato, diced
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped
  • 1 (2.25-ounce) can sliced black olives, drained, optional
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Refried Bean Layer: In a medium bowl, stir together the refried beans, ½ cup of salsa, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  2. Guacamole Layer: In another bowl, mash the avocados with salsa, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt.
  3. Sour Cream Layer: In a separate bowl, mix sour cream with taco seasoning.
  4. Assembly: Spread the bean mixture, then guacamole, and top with sour cream. Sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes, scallions, jalapeños, cilantro, and olives if desired.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • You can customize the toppings to suit your taste, such as adding diced bell peppers or a layer of black beans.
  • For a spicier dip, leave the seeds in the jalapeño or add hot sauce to the guacamole.
