Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans wild salmon, drained (6 oz cans)
- 1 egg
- 1 clove garlic, minced (or sub about 1/2 tsp garlic oil)
- 2 tbsp green onion, finely diced
- 2 tsp arrowroot starch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon or sub apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- Avocado oil or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon mixture
In a medium-sized bowl, combine all ingredients except the avocado oil spray. Mix gently with your hands, ensuring even distribution without overmixing. - Form the patties
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Divide the salmon mixture into 3 equal portions and shape them into patties. Place the patties in the basket, leaving some space between each. - Air fry the salmon patties
Cook the patties at 400°F for 12-14 minutes. The exterior should be lightly browned and crispy, while the interior remains warm and flaky. - Serve
Carefully remove the patties from the air fryer basket and serve immediately.
Notes
- For frozen store-bought salmon patties, spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and place the frozen patties directly in the basket. Cook at 400°F for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
- Avoid stacking patties in the air fryer; cook in a single layer for best results.
- These patties pair well with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
