Description

This Apple Guacamole is a delightful twist on the classic guacamole recipe. Perfectly refreshing and delicious, this guacamole is great as a dip, spread, or side dish for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados – pitted and flesh removed
  • 3/4 cup green apple – diced (about 1/2 large green apple)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro – chopped
  • 1/2 jalapeño – small dice
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion – small dice
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Mash the Avocados
  2. In a large mixing bowl, use the back of a fork to mash the avocados until you reach your desired consistency. You can make it smooth or leave a few chunks for texture.
  3. Combine the Ingredients
  4. Stir the diced green apple, chopped cilantro, diced jalapeño, lime juice, red onion, and kosher salt into the mashed avocados. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  5. Chill and Serve
  6. Refrigerate the guacamole for at least 10 minutes or until you’re ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or as a topping for tacos or salads!

Notes

  • For best flavor, use ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure but are not mushy.
  • Green apples add a unique crunch and tanginess but can be substituted with firm, sweet apples if preferred.
  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating.
  • Adjust jalapeño and salt to fit your spice and flavor preference.
  • Serve this guacamole fresh for the best taste and texture, although it can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 day.
