Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/3 cup creamy almond butter
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: to 350°F.
- Prepare the wet ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together almond butter, milk, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine the dry ingredients: Add oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and chocolate chips to the wet mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Prepare the baking tin: Line an 8×8 baking tin with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Top with extra chocolate chips.
- Bake: Bake for about 20 minutes or until the top is firm to the touch.
- Cool and slice: Let the bars cool, then slice into 8 bars. Optionally, sprinkle flaky salt on top.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. Best served warm.

- You can customize these bars by adding nuts, dried fruits, or coconut flakes.
