Description

This homemade BBQ Sauce is smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet, with a hint of whiskey. Perfect for slathering on ribs, chicken, or pulled pork.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

Instructions

  1. ombine and Simmer: Add all ingredients to a saucepan and stir well. Bring to a bubble over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Notes
