Toppings and Garnishes
- Ranch dressing, for drizzling
- Extra buffalo sauce, for drizzling
- Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside for later use.
- Prepare the filling mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce. Stir until fully mixed (this makes about 3 cups of filling). Set aside.
- Roll the puff pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 9×12-inch rectangle.
- Spread the filling: Evenly spread 2 cups of the buffalo chicken mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a ½-inch border along one long edge.
- Seal the roll: Brush the ½-inch border of the pastry with some beaten egg to help seal it when rolled. Starting from the opposite long edge, tightly roll the pastry into a log, pressing to seal the edges.
- Slice and prepare for baking: Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the log into 12 equal-sized pieces. Brush the exposed edges of the pastry with the remaining beaten egg. Place the pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the roll-ups: Bake the pieces for 15-18 minutes. Remove them from the oven and carefully top each with a spoonful of the remaining buffalo chicken mixture. Return to the oven to bake for 6-8 more minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the mixture is heated through.
- Finish and serve: Drizzle the baked roll-ups with extra buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Air Fryer Instructions: Assemble the roll-ups as instructed. Place the roll-ups into the basket of your air fryer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, work in batches if necessary. Air fry at 325°F for 10-12 minutes. After 10 minutes, carefully top each with a spoonful of reserved buffalo chicken mixture, then air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and the topping is heated through. Monitor closely, as cooking times may vary.
