Description

Bunny Bait is the perfect festive snack mix, combining the crunch of pretzels and cereals with the sweetness of pastel M&Ms and white chocolate. Ideal for Easter gatherings or as a quick treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, this no-bake recipe is incredibly easy to prepare. Irresistibly delicious and colorful, it’s bound to be a favorite among kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Dry Mixture:
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 3 cups Chex rice or corn
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s (Easter M&Ms)
  • 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles
  • Topping:
  • 10 ounces white chocolate (Ghirardelli wafers recommended)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s. Stir until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Melt the Chocolate:
Place the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, remove, and stir. Continue melting in 30-second increments, stirring between each session to prevent overheating. Be cautious not to overcook the chocolate.
  3. Combine with the Dry Ingredients:
Once the chocolate is smooth and fully melted, pour it over the dry mixture. Gently stir until everything is evenly coated with the chocolate.
  4. Spread and Set:
Transfer the coated mixture onto a large sheet of wax or parchment paper. Sprinkle the pastel sprinkles over the mix for added color. Allow the mix to set and harden for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Break into Pieces and Serve:
Once the chocolate is firm, break the mixture into bite-sized pieces. Serve and enjoy your festive Bunny Bait snack!

Notes

  • Store the Bunny Bait in an airtight zip-top bag or container. It can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Ensure it’s tightly sealed to maintain freshness.
