These Churro Snacks are a fun and easy way to enjoy the flavors of churros without any frying! Made with Honeycomb cereal coated in a sweet cinnamon sugar mixture, they’re a crispy and delicious treat.

- 5 cups Honeycomb cereal
- 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make Caramel: In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Add Vanilla and Baking Soda: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Coat Cereal: Pour caramel mixture over cereal in a large bowl and toss to coat.
- Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the coated cereal and toss to coat.
- Bake: Spread cereal on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Cool and Serve: Allow cereal to cool completely. Break into bite-sized pieces and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use fresh Honeycomb cereal for the best results.
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
- If the caramel is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of water to thin it out.
- These churro snacks can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
