Pasta:
- 8 ounces uncooked pasta (linguine recommended)
Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, optional, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil a pot of salted water and cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions.
- Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in flour and cook the roux for about 2 minutes. Add garlic and chicken broth, simmer for a minute. Whisk in cream and cook until thickened. Stir in parmesan, season with salt and pepper.
- Combine: Drain pasta and toss with the sauce until well coated. Add pasta water if needed to adjust consistency. Serve with parsley and extra parmesan.
