Description

These Easter Pretzel Rods are a delightful and fun treat perfect for the holiday season. Dipped in creamy white chocolate and adorned with pastel M&Ms and candy melt drizzles, they’re colorful, sweet, and easy to make. Perfect as a festive dessert or gift!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Pretzel Rods
  • 24 pretzel rods
  • White Chocolate
  • 15 oz (1 bag) of white chocolate chips
  • Candy Melts
  • 3 oz (1/4 of a 12 oz bag) pastel candy melts
  • Toppings
  • 1/2 cup pastel M&Ms, crushed

Instructions

  1. Melt the White Chocolate
In a tall microwave-safe glass, add the white chocolate chips. Heat them in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted.
  2. Dip the Pretzel Rods
Dip each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate, ensuring to coat evenly. Then, place each rod on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, foil, or a wire rack.
  3. Add Crushed M&Ms
Gently crush the pastel M&Ms and sprinkle them over the white chocolate coating on the pretzel rods while the chocolate is still warm and sticky.
  4. Melt the Candy Melts
In a separate microwave-safe dish, melt the candy melts in 30-second intervals while stirring in-between until fully melted.
  5. Drizzle Candy Melts and Cool
Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle the melted candy over the white chocolate-coated pretzel rods and the M&Ms. Allow the pretzels to cool completely at room temperature before serving or packaging.

Notes

  • Storage: Store the finished pretzel rods in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Avoid refrigerating as moisture can cause the chocolate to bloom (white spots).
  • Melting Tips: Stir the chocolate/candy melts consistently to prevent overheating and seizing.
  • Decor Ideas: Feel free to use other colorful candies or sprinkles as toppings for variety.
  • Gift Presentation: Wrap individual pretzel rods in cellophane bags and tie with pastel ribbons for a perfect Easter gift.
