Description

These Easy Eggnog Waffles are a festive and delicious breakfast treat. Made with creamy eggnog and warm spices, they’re perfect for a special occasion or a cozy morning.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat waffle iron and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine Batter: Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Cook Waffles: Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining batter.

Notes

  • Leftover waffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • To reheat, place waffles in a 300°F oven until warmed through.
  • To freeze, store leftover waffles in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.
