Description

These quick and flavorful Garlic Butter Steak Bites feature tender steak cubes seared to perfection with rich garlic butter, making them an ideal main course for a speedy weeknight dinner or impressive appetizer. Ready in just 10 minutes and requiring minimal ingredients, these steak bites deliver restaurant-quality taste with ease.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Steak

  • 1 pound steak, cut into bite-sized pieces (such as sirloin, filet mignon, flank, or skirt steak)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Season the Steak: Place the steak bites in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, tossing until all pieces are evenly coated for well-balanced flavor.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly until fragrant and just golden (do not let it burn).
  3. Cook the Steak: Increase the heat to high. Add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer. Sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until your preferred doneness is reached (145°F for medium, 155°F for medium-well, or 165°F for well done). Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  4. Rest and Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat. Let the steak bites rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve hot, spooning any extra garlic butter from the skillet over the bites.

Notes

  • Any tender steak cut can be used, such as sirloin, filet mignon, flank, or skirt steak.
  • For best texture, avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches if needed.
  • To store leftovers: Cool the steak bites, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
  • To freeze: Place cooled steak bites in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2-3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
  • To reheat: Warm gently in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave in 30-second intervals until heated through.
