Chicken:

  • 4 5-7 oz chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness
  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon sea or kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Caprese Toppings:

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced into 8 pieces
  • 2 vine-ripened tomatoes, sliced into 1/2” slices
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Aged balsamic or balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness. Combine the seasoning blend and apply to chicken.
  2. Grill the chicken: Cook on high heat for 5-6 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 155°F.
