Description

These Honey Sriracha Wings are the perfect fusion of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. Juicy chicken wings are seasoned and grilled to perfection, then tossed with a buttery honey sriracha sauce, making them an irresistible appetizer or game day snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the wings:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Ground pepper, to taste

For the sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 orange, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped (for garnish and sauce)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Wings: In a large plastic freezer bag, combine the chicken wings, vegetable oil, ground coriander, garlic salt, and ground pepper. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  2. Preheat the Grill: Bring your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill the Wings: Place the marinated wings on the grill. Grill for 18-20 minutes, turning the wings every 4 minutes to ensure they cook evenly and achieve a crispy exterior.
  4. Prepare the Honey Sriracha Sauce: While the wings are grilling, melt the butter over medium heat in a small saucepan. Add the sriracha, honey, lime juice, and orange juice. Mix well until the sauce is smooth and fully combined. Optionally, stir in some chopped cilantro.
  5. Toss and Serve: Remove the grilled wings from the heat. In a large bowl, toss the wings with the prepared sauce until well coated. Garnish with cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the wings overnight.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha and honey to make the sauce spicier or sweeter to your taste.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can roast the wings in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Garnish with extra cilantro or green onions for added freshness.
