For the Black Pepper Sauce
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1.5 tbsp garlic minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2.5 tbsp ketchup
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Season the chicken thighs on both sides with salt and pepper evenly.
- Prep the pan: Heat a pan over medium-high heat, add a small amount of oil.
- Cook the chicken: Place the chicken skin side down in the hot pan. Pan-fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, minced garlic, honey, and ketchup; mix well.
- Prepare the sauce base: Turn the heat to medium, add butter to the pan, and pour in the sauce mixture. Let it simmer for 1 minute to thicken slightly.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return the chicken to the pan. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side in the sauce to coat evenly and reheat.
