Description

Creamy and flavorful Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Pasta made with tender chicken, penne pasta, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce. This easy one-pot meal is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

For the Pasta:

  • 1 16-ounce box penne pasta, uncooked
  • 8 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute Chicken: Press SAUTE button, add olive oil, then chicken. Cook until no longer pink. Add salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Hit Cancel.
  2. Add Pasta: Place penne pasta over chicken, pour water over and around pasta. Top with 4 tablespoons of butter. Pressure cook for 4 minutes.
  3. Finish Dish: Release pressure, stir in remaining butter, heavy cream, and nutmeg. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve with additional Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

  • This recipe is tested in a 6-quart Instant Pot but can be made in an 8-quart with the same ingredients.
