- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Caramel Sauce
- 5 ounces evaporated milk
- 1 bag (14 oz) caramels
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Prepare Cookie Dough: Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in flour and fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake Base: Spread half of the cookie dough in the pan and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Make Caramel Sauce: Melt caramels and milk, then add peanut butter. Spread over baked base.
- Top with Dough: Drop spoonfuls of remaining dough over caramel.
- Bake Again: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Cool before serving.
