  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 67 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
  • Butter for tops (optional)

Instructions

  1. Proof the yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  2. Make the dough: Combine warm water, butter, sugar, and salt. Add yeast mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing until smooth and soft. Let rise until doubled, about 1.5 hours.
  3. Roll out dough into rounds, then let rise again for 30-60 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter if desired.

Notes
