Description

This Noodles Romanoff recipe is a creamy, cheesy, and comforting dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. Tender noodles are tossed in a rich sauce of cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese, then baked to bubbly perfection.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
  3. Make Sauce: Return the pot with the cooked pasta to the stovetop. Add cream cheese and butter, stirring until melted. Stir in sour cream, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, nutmeg, and ½ cup of Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake: Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a little bit of milk or pasta water to thin it out.
