Description

This One-Pan Tortellini and Sausage Skillet Dinner is a quick and flavorful dish that combines cheese tortellini, Italian sausage, spinach, and a hint of lemon for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

Fresh Cheese Tortellini:

20 oz

Ground Mild Italian Sausage:

1 lb

Olive Oil:

Red Onion, diced:

Garlic Cloves, minced:

Baby Spinach, ribboned or torn:

4 cups

Chicken Broth:

1 cup, more if needed

Sea Salt:

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and sauté until softened.
  2. Add garlic and sausage: Add the garlic and sausage to the skillet, cook until the sausage is mostly browned.
  3. Add broth and tortellini: Stir in the broth, add the tortellini, simmer gently, cover, and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Stir in spinach and cheese: Add spinach, cheese, and lemon zest. Cook for another minute.
  5. Finish and serve: Remove from heat, add lemon juice, pepper, and extra cheese if desired. Serve hot.
