Description

These warm and savory Pretzel Sandwiches are the perfect quick and delicious meal, featuring soft baked pretzels filled with layers of honey ham, Swiss cheese, and flavorful spreads. Easy to assemble and sure to please both kids and adults, this recipe is ideal for a satisfying lunch, dinner, or game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Main Ingredients

  • 6 frozen soft pretzels
  • 9 slices honey ham
  • 3 slices Swiss cheese
  • Spreads

  • Mayonnaise (to taste)
  • Dijon mustard (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400℉, or follow the temperature instructions provided on the box of frozen pretzels.
  2. Bake the Pretzels: Arrange all 6 frozen pretzels on a baking sheet and bake them for 3-4 minutes, allowing them to warm up and slightly crisp on the outside.
  3. Prepare Pretzels for Assembly: Remove the pretzels from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 350℉ to avoid over-browning later on.
  4. Add Spreads: Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the underside of 3 pretzels. For more flavor, you can also coat the remaining 3 pretzels if desired.
  5. Add Ham and Cheese: Layer approximately 3 slices of honey ham onto each prepared pretzel, then top the ham with one slice of Swiss cheese on each.
  6. Assemble and Bake Sandwiches: Carefully place the remaining 3 pretzels on top of the cheese to form sandwiches. Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven and bake for about 3 more minutes, or until the Swiss cheese is melted and gooey.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy your melty and flavorful pretzel sandwiches!

Notes

  • Optional: Sprinkle the salt packet included with the frozen pretzels on top before baking for extra flavor.
  • Customize your sandwiches by adding additional toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickles after baking.
  • These sandwiches are best served fresh and warm but can be reheated for a quick snack.
