Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp dried minced onion flakes
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15-oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 (14.5-oz) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (24-oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz campanelle pasta (about 3 cups uncooked)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the chicken breasts, minced garlic, dried minced onion flakes, Italian seasoning, tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and spaghetti sauce into a 6-quart slow cooker. Stir well to combine all ingredients evenly.
  2. Slow Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
  3. Shred Chicken: Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and shred them using two forks until finely pulled apart.
  4. Return Chicken and Add Cheese & Pasta: Add the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and uncooked campanelle pasta.
  5. Cook Pasta: Set the slow cooker to HIGH and cook for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and cooked through.
