Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups egg noodles, cooked
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 2 cups frozen corn kernels
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon

Sauce Mixture

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature before baking.
  2. Mix Main Ingredients – In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles, shredded chicken, frozen corn kernels, diced onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute all ingredients.
  3. Prepare Sauce – In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the milk, cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, and salt and pepper to taste, until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Combine Mixtures – Pour the soup mixture over the ingredients in the large mixing bowl. Toss everything together gently to ensure all ingredients are coated with the creamy sauce.
  5. Assemble in Baking Dish – Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish well to prevent sticking. Evenly layer the combined casserole mixture into the baking dish, spreading it out to all corners.
  6. Bake – Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  7. Finish and Serve – Remove the casserole from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add 1/2 cup of sour cream to the sauce mixture.
  • You can substitute rotisserie chicken for added flavor and convenience.
  • Swap in your favorite mixed vegetables or use peas and carrots for added variety.
  • Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a crunchy topping, sprinkle additional shredded cheese or crushed crackers over the casserole before baking.
