Description

Cool off with this refreshing Watermelon Frosé (Frozen Rosé) Cocktail, perfect for a summer gathering or a relaxing evening. This icy blend of rose wine, fresh watermelon, and zesty lime is a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Rosé Ice Cubes:

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle rose wine

Frosé Mixture:

  • 3 cups watermelon, cubed
  • juice from 2 limes
  • 1/2 cup lime seltzer
  • 3 ounces watermelon vodka (optional)

Garnish:

  • 4 small wedges watermelon

Instructions

  1. Rosé Ice Cubes: Pour rosé into 2 ice cube molds and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Frozen Watermelon: Place watermelon on a baking sheet or plate, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Blending: Add frozen watermelon, lime juice, frozen rosé cubes, seltzer, and vodka (if using) to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  4. Serve: Pour into 4 glasses and garnish each with a wedge of watermelon.

Notes

  • The wine and watermelon can be frozen ahead of time and stored in the freezer for convenience.
  • Add more seltzer water if needed to adjust the consistency of the cocktail.
  • For a fun presentation, serve in a hollowed-out watermelon as a scorpion bowl with multiple straws.
  • To make a non-alcoholic version, replace rosé with sparkling white grape juice and omit the vodka.
